HIIPfit Heroes - Maura Bradshaw

 

Meet Maura Bradshaw

Maura started with Kyle House Fitness back in the Summer of 2017 and has been bringing the positive spirit ever since.

Not only has she completed 400 classes since then, but she also has taken a lot of our Yoga Flow classes and understands the importance of consistency in a balanced fitness program.

If you have taken a class with Maura, then you know that it’s always a pleasure to have her energy in the HIIPfit room and at the studio and we are so proud of all of her accomplishments. Also a little known fact, Maura always matches her water bottles to her workout outfit of the day! We also enjoy a good soul train from time-to-time in the lobby :)

We were able to sit down with Maura for a quick chat and we got to learn a little more about this HIIPfit Hero. Here are some of the questions we asked Maura. Let’s see what she had to say:

What is your favorite thing about working out at KHF?

“The community that encourages you whether it's other people in class or KHF celebrating your milestones with you. I believe that a good business starts with a good leader at the top. Kyle House shows kindness too, interest in and potential in everyone. That is passed on to his employees and then to the members.I leave every workout with a feeling of accomplishment and happiness.”

What is your favorite part of the HIIPfit high-intensity interval class?

“This is a hard question to answer. I love the treadmill part more than anything because I've been a runner since high school. I really like the whole format. The strength training and yoga are great too. This class is the perfect combination of yoga, strength training and cardio.”

What has been your biggest fitness success at KHF?

“I think my greatest success at KHF is the physical shape and emotional well being that I've been able to maintain. I started at KHF 4 months after my mother died and I had a broken wrist. I was not in shape and was devastated emotionally. The instructor would give me options before class giving me options where I wouldn't strain my wrist. The people in class really cheered me on without even knowing my personal situation. The welcoming atmosphere encourages me to keep working hard.”

What is your favorite exercise or movement in HIIPfit?

“Dragon lunge with a twist.”

What would you tell someone thinking of diving into the KHF fitness experience?

“I would recommend KHF to someone because the instructors and trainers will customize a fitness routine that will help you reach your goals. The programs available are for all levels of fitness and help you meet your individual goals.”

What are your future fitness goals at KHF?

“I would like to continue to lose body fat and build more muscle. If I continue coming to classes I believe that I can achieve these 2 goals. If I need help with personal training and nutrition I can take advantage of those options at KHF. I also am enjoying finding healthier meals and more vegetarian options.”

How are you going to continue your new and improved lifestyle?

“I will continue to come to classes, practice yoga, eat healthy and work out with my friends.

I hope to teach a class to Jacob and all willing trainers someday.”


Maura, thank you so much for sharing your journey with everyone. We have had such a great time getting to know you more over the years and we truly appreciate all of the energy you bring to the studio and to the KHF community as a whole.
